All matches are expected to be exciting, but the matches of Kobe and Urawa are particularly noteworthy. Kobe will face fifth-placed Sendai, who have brought back young players from the U-20 Asian Cup, while Urawa will take on Omiya, who are in high spirits after reaching the League Cup final. Beleza, Hiroshima, and Niigata will all be looking to accumulate points.
[Overall Review]
Kobe won a close match against Sendai by one goal. Urawa suffered a crushing 0-2 defeat against Omiya. Omiya seems to be getting stronger. Beleza, Hiroshima, and Niigata all accumulated three points, but except for Nagano vs. Hiroshima goal differences were only one. In the bottom-of-the-table clash between Sagamihara and Osaka, Sagamihara won convincingly 3-0.
With three matches remaining, the point difference between league leaders Kobe and second-placed Urawa has widened to six. Kobe is scheduled to play Nagano, Saitama, and Hiroshima. Urawa is scheduled to play Sendai, Beleza, and Chiba. Unless something extraordinary happens, Kobe is considered to have the advantage for the championship. In the top scorer race, one goal of this week made Kobe’s Yoshida Riko tied with Urawa’s Shimada Mei.
