Everton’s Yuka Momiki handed the POTM trophy to every child in the stadium. The quotation includes the following “This is what the women’s game gets so right! Yuka Momiki stayed out after the game until every child in the stadium had had a photo and a hold of her player of the match trophy. My daughter was so excited to have the opportunity!” Courtesy from this site.

Blogger’s Prediction on Friday, February 13th: City’s winning streak was stopped by Arsenal (and the referee?) in the previous week, and attention will be focused on whether they can bounce back to the top form this week. Tottenham will also be noticeable to see if they can bounce back and stay in the top ranks. Chelsea will face Liverpool, who earned their second win last week, but they cannot afford to lose any points. United and Arsenal each face mid-table teams, and they also cannot afford to lose any points, while the WCL knockout playoffs may test their team strength. West Ham and Everton are close in the standings and have a head-to-head match. The league is scheduled to be suspended until March 14th.

Overall Review: While Arsenal’s match against Brighton & Hove was postponed, the remaining top four teams all won, so there was no change in the standings. Will an even busier schedule await Arsenal? City’s big win increased their points to 42. Arsenal will have 53 points if they win all of their remaining eight matches, so City only need to accumulate 12 points from their remaining six matches to reach the title. Meanwhile, United are unbeaten in seven league matches. Everton recorded their third consecutive win, with Hayashi Honoka’s winning goal, and they are the only lower-ranked team to win, moving them up to 8th place.

Match 1 (2/13): City 6-0 Leicester City at Joie Stadium, Manchester:
City’s goals: K. Shaw (22′), V. Miedema (28′, 36′), Y. Hasegawa (38′), Kerolin (48′), A. Fujino (66′)
City dominated the game in terms of ball possession, touches in the opponent’s box, and shots, resulting in a crushing victory. If Aoba Fujino had been able to play in the previous match against Arsenal, the result would have been the opposite. City’s Ayaka Yamashita and Yui Hasegawa played the full game.

Match 2 (2/15): Aston Villa vs Tottenham at Villa Park with attendance of 2,563:
Aston Villa’s goals: K. Hanson(16’, 80’), O. Jean-François (68′)
Tottenham’s goals: S. Gaupset (10′), B. England (19′), O. Holdt (26′), C. Tandberg (69′, 82′), M. Hamano (72′), J. Blakstad (85′)
Tottenham won the match as they dominated the number of shots, ball possession rate, and touches in the opponent’s box. Maika Hamano scored her first goal since joining the team with one assist. Aston Villa’s Maya Hijikata played the full game.

Match 3 (2/15): Chelsea vs Liverpool at Kingsmeadow:
Chelsea’s goals: S. Nüsken (40′), L. James (65′)
Chelsea dominated the game in terms of shots, ball possession, and touches in the opponent’s box, resulting in a well-deserved victory. Liverpool’s Risa Shimizu and Fuka Nagano played the full game.

Match 4 (2/15): Everton vs West Ham at Goodison Park:
Everton’s goal: H. Hayashi (8′)
Although the number of shots was equal, West Ham had a much higher ball possession rate and more touches in the opponent’s box. With Hayashi Honoka’s winning goal Everton won with high tenacity? Yuka Momiki played well, earning POTM. Everton’s Honoka Hayashi and Hikaru Kitagawa played the full game. West Ham’s Yu Endo also played the full game.

Match 5 (2/15): United 2-1 London City at Progress with Unity Stadium with attendance of 3,763
United’s goals: J. Park (30′), M. Turner (79′)
London City’s goal: N. Parris (5′)
The ball possession rate and touches in the opponent’s box were almost equal, but London City had twice as many shots as United. Did United’s defense win? Hinata Miyazawa of United played the full game.

Match 6 (2/15): Brighton & Hove vs Arsenal at Broadfield Stadium:
Postponed due to insufficient drainage of the pitch.
