[[[[Foreword]]]]
The U-17 Asian Cup was held concurrently with the Japanese league matches. Little Nadeshiko reached the final successfully but lost 1-5 to DPR Korea. Some point to differences in physical strength, running ability, and tenacity as the cause of the defeat of Little Nadeshiko, but unless it is realized that the difference in individual skill and team tactics, especially the latter, is the real reason for the loss, the gap will not be closed.

One of the highlights will be the conclusion of the top scorer race. The results of the matches involving Beleza, Hiroshima, Sendai, Niigata, Omiya, Sagamihara, Chiba, and Osaka, who are all competing for their standings, will also be interesting.

[Overall Review]
Kobe was disappointed to miss out on a victory in their final home match. Beleza achieved a remarkable feat with Azusa Iwashimizu scoring a penalty goal to mark the retirement. Sagamihara secured a stunning 0-4 away victory against Omiya, who have solid defense. Chiba enjoyed a happy victory in their final home match, against second-placed Urawa. Osaka and Nagano ended in a draw.
Ultimately, the strongholds of the top three teams remained, but Hiroshima came very close. Sendai made a huge leap from the bottom of the last season to fifth place. Omiya and Sagamihara also improved their rankings. Niigata, Saitama, Osaka, and Nagano unfortunately dropped in the standings.
Riko Yoshida held on to win the top scorer title for the first time.
