It could be unusual but I would like to try to describe my essays in English for this worldwide, getting popular, and promising women’s sport.

Partly because I feel necessary to keep my English writing ability somehow I think this could be a good practice with joy for my favorite sport.

I start with my prediction about the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 to be held from July 2nd to July 25th in Switzerland.

Let me remind the last UEFA Women’s Euro held in England three years ago. The host country England won the final match with 87,192 attendances in Wembley stadium, London. This victory has given enthusiasms and fascinated the women’s league in England. Hereafter, more and more good players have gathered in the league from all over the world.

Here is the draw for the group stage with the FIFA ranking numbers in parentheses added to the country names.

Group A: Switzerland (23), Norway (16), Iceland (14), Finland (26)

Group B: Spain (2), Portugal (22), Belgium (20), Italy (13)

Group C: Germany (3), Poland (27), Denmark (12), Sweden (6)

Group D: France (10), England (5), Wales (30), Netherlands (11)

As usual, Group A is advantageous for the host country, Switzerland although both Norway and Iceland have good players.

In Group B, Spain leads having Belgium and Italy as good competitors.

Group C is tough since Germany and Sweden were previously a finalist and a semi-finalist respectively having a tough competitor Denmark with an excellent scorer Pernille Harder.

Group D is a kind of death group in the championship. England are the former champions, Netherlands were the champions in 2017, and France were a semi-finalist in 2022.

My expectation for four countries at the coming semifinals are Iceland, Spain, Germany and England. I cannot tell who will be the champions, sorry.
