
VONDS Ichihara won the Nadeshiko League Division 2 and secured promotion to Division 1 next season. The battle for second place, which will see them face off against 11th-placed Nippon Sport Science University in the promotion/relegation matches, is still in a state of flux and will depend on the results of next week’s final matches. The standings table has changed as results of this final week, with the top teams now being Nagoya, Iga, Shizuoka, Miyazaki, and Harima in order. In the race for top scorer, China Kamiya scored one goal to move into second place. In the end, Kumi Yokoyama took first place, and Mitsuki Horie came in third.
Match 1: Setagaya hosted Yunogo at AGF Field and lost 1-2. Setagaya allowed Yunogo two points ahead, making a tough game. Yunogo won by taking more shots.
Match 2: Nippon Sport Science University (NSSU) faced Kamogawa at the Misumasu Park Athletics Stadium in Aikawa Town and won 3-0. Akemi Kitazawa scored two goals. NSSU effectively converted their shots into goals.
Match 3: Yokohama hosted Ehime at Ryugasaki City Athletic Stadium Tatsunoko Field and the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Ehime took the lead, but Yokohama caught up. It was a heated battle with equal shots.
Match 4: Nagoya, the champions of this season, hosted Shizuoka at LA PITA Toin Stadium and won 3-1. Despite conceding an own goal in added time, they still took a 3-0 lead before that. Shizuoka dominated the game with the numbers of shots and corner kicks, but were unable to lead them to goals.
Match 5: Iga hosted Osaka at Ueno Sports Park Stadium and won 2-1. Although Iga allowed Osaka to score the first goal, they scored two goals in the first half. It was a well-deserved victory for Iga with an overwhelming number of shots.
Match 6: Miyazaki faced Harima at Ichigo Miyazaki Shintomi Soccer Stadium and lost 1-2. With the score at 1-1, Harima scored the winning goal in the 85th minute. Miyazaki had a much larger number of shots, but suffered a disappointing defeat. The crowd was 1,991.
