Overall Review: The results were pretty much as expected. The top home teams, with the exception of United, won by maintaining higher ball possession. The only upset was Wolfsburg’s away victory, which propelled them to the quarterfinals. Despite being underdogs, Wolfsburg won with superb goals. The quarterfinal matchups are as follows:
United (6) vs Bayern München (4)
Real Madrid (7) vs Barcelona (1)
Arsenal (5) vs Chelsea (3)
Wolfsburg (9) vs OL Lyonness (2)
Based solely on group stage standings, shouldn’t Arsenal be paired with Bayern, United with Chelsea, Real with Lyon, and Wolfsburg with Barcelona?

Hinata Miyazawa played the full game and had one assist. Below is the explanation quoted from the official page. “United score a second! Hinata Miyazawa shows swift footwork to weave her way through defenders inside the box on the left and fire in a low shot that Lola Gallardo turns behind with a leg at the goalkeeper’s near post. The hosts then embark upon a short-corner routine, setting up in-form Jess Park to strike from distance and put her side 5-0 ahead on aggregate!”
