This spring, women born in 2003 graduated from university and join the league. The girls graduating from high school were born in 2007. In 2011, when the Nadeshiko won the World Cup, they were 8 years old (second grade of elementary school) and 4 years old (kindergarten), respectively. They are in generations that grew up admiring the Nadeshiko from a young age. It’s going to be very exciting.

[ Blogger’s Prediction on April 4th ]
Following last week’s exciting matches in which lower-tabled teams put up good fights against higher, good matches are expected in various places in this week as well. Among them, the match between Hiroshima and Niigata, whose table positions are very close, is particularly noteworthy. It is also a clash between two tactical managers. The fact that the Nadeshiko manager’s contract has not been renewed may have a positive impact on the league, and it is possible that this will lead to a change in the players’ awareness of national team selection with a fresh perspective.
[Overall Review]
Kobe and Urawa secured solidly close victories, while Beleza suffered a shutout loss, widening the points gap. Beleza are struggling as key young players have been poached for underage Asian competitions. Opponents Omiya, Osaka, and Saitama put up a good fight despite their losses. In the Niigata vs. Hiroshima match, away team Hiroshima dominated in shots, but Niigata scored first goal. Hiroshima equalized in the 89th minute dramatically. Nagano vs. Sagamihara and Sendai vs. Chiba both saw away teams win with clean sheets. Kobe’s Riko Yoshida accelerated herself in the top scorer race with two goals, but Urawa’s Mei Shimada also scored to maintain her top position.

The matches to watch include whether Nagoya can regain its form, a clash between last season’s top teams Miyazaki and Iga, Seagulls vs. Setagaya (both high-scoring teams on the last week), whether Shizuoka can regain its scoring power against Harima, and whether Ehime can maintain its scoring ability against Yunogo.
[ Overall Review ]
With the goalkeeper changed, Nagoya’s solid defense returned. However, their scoring ability was still lacking, with their two goals coming after the 83rd minute. In the clash between Miyazaki and Iga, Miyazaki won a fierce scoring battle with a goal in the 89th minute. Risana Matsuda, who had just graduated from high school, scored her first goal. Kamogawa’s attacking power exploded, scoring four goals. Nagisa Ota was outstanding with two goals. The match between Yokohama Seagulls and Setagaya was also heated. Yuho Matsuo’s second goal was a dramatic winning goal in added time of the second half. Shizuoka won with two goals scored in the first half. Ehime dominated in terms of shots but drew goalless with Yunogo. This year’s Ehime team might be interesting.
