[[[[Foreword]]]]
Manager Midori Honda led Shizuoka to their and her first-ever championship, fulfilling a dream for Kumi Yokoyama. Nagoya also deserves great credit for pushing them all the way, finishing level on points. Both teams managed to navigate the matches after the summer break—a period during which key players departed for the WE League—with impressive resilience. Kamogawa (3rd), Iga (4th), and Miyazaki (5th) demonstrated their quality levels as the league’s powerhouses, while the Seagulls also mounted an admirable charge following the summer break.

As for top scorer Misuzu Uchida, the blogger has been deeply impressed by the way she has built her career.

Even with a draw, Shizuoka’s goal difference will matter, but how will they prepare for the psychological battle against Ichihara, who has been relegated? Ichihara must feel liberated and Shizuoka has to win the championship nervously for the first time. How will Ichihara, who drew with Nagoya and won against Kamogawa in the final stages, fight?

Nagoya and Kamogawa will play away against Yunogo and Miyazaki, respectively. Yunogo drew with Shizuoka at home and defeated a powerhouse Miyazaki by 5 goals at the away match. Miyazaki has lost three consecutive matches at home. The opponent for the final performance is Kamogawa, who is competing for the championship.

Iga and Seagulls will also be attracting attention as they aim to climb up the table.

[Overall Review]
Shizuoka secured their first-ever title, though only by the margins in goal difference over Nagoya. Nagoya, who demonstrated their strength by winning their final match, finished level on points with Shizuoka, but the title went to Shizuoka thanks to a superior goal difference built up prior to the summer break. While Shizuoka’s record of the most goals scored and fewest goals conceded certainly deserves recognition, one might also consider…

Kamogawa failed to protect a three-goal lead, ending in a draw against Miyazaki and ultimately finishing in third place. Iga moved into fourth, overtaking Miyazaki after adding to their points tally.

Misuzu Uchida (Setagaya) finished as the top scorer, adding one more goal in the final week.
